When you work with photography for a long time, you automatically start to repeat yourself. Often you even stop seeing how and why you're doing something. As a photographer and mentor, I reflect on how and why we photograph as we photograph. It is essential for me to think about what kind of visual language we use and why. I think a lot about expression, because it is how we voice ourselves and that is the real power of photography.
PRIVATE MENTORING
Are you looking for a professional who you could discuss about your photographic project and could give you feedback and in-depth insights and perspectives? Do you battle with your visual language and how to form your ideas into images? 1-2-1 mentoring sessions work well if you have a project in mind or it’s already ongoing and you would like to have some new perspectives.

Price: 150€ / hour (excluding vat which is 24% in Fin)
EDITING SESSIONS
I specialize in building narratives - both linear and nonlinear. If you have a large selection of photos and you need to edit, I can guide you through and co-edit. We can do distance mentoring over a zoom session.
LECTURES
I’ve kept lectures in various universities, such as Aalto University, University in Tampere and Lab University of Applied Sciences. I have been lecturing also on festivals such as Kathmandu Photo Fest in Nepal and Contact Photo Festival (Canada).
BOOK PROJECTS
I specialize in bookmaking, so if you need any kind of assistance while making a publication, you can contact me. I have in-depth knowledge of making publications from editing hundreds of images to papers to printing.

WORKSHOPS
I have been leading workshops since 2007 when I started long term documentary photography workshops called DOC. In these workshops participants work on a documentary photography project that can come out as an exhibition or as a publication.
